Tweed Tooth Fillings
At Tweed Dental Care, our dental team may recommend bonded composite fillings, also known as white fillings, to help restore a tooth damaged by a cavity.
What are composite fillings?
Fillings are used to repair a chipped tooth, fill a cavity or replace an old damaged fillings.
Your dentist will first remove any decay from the tooth, then apply the filling to help prevent further infection or decay.

What are bonded composite fillings?
Bonded composite fillings are made from materials that are similar in colour to your natural tooth. They can be used as new fillings for cavities, or to replace old fillings that might need to be removed. The composite material is made from glass-filled particles in a resin matrix and has a putty-like consistency prior to curing.

Composite resin, the material used to make the composite fillings, comes in a variety of shades. We will customize your treatment to create a filling that closely matches the colour of your natural teeth. The material is also strong and durable, yet easily manipulated to help repair resurface your tooth's structure.
